Welcome to the Le Roux Learning Academy

Combining expert teaching with structured online learning to provide flexible, personalised support that builds both academic progress and confidence.

How We Support You

At Le Roux Learning Academy, we provide specialist academic support for students with additional needs across Key Stages 2–4 through a hybrid learning model.

This means your child benefits from both direct teaching and structured online support, allowing learning to continue beyond each session.

We understand that many children struggle in traditional classroom environments — not because they cannot learn, but because learning has not been adapted to meet their needs.

Our approach focuses on how each student learns best, combining personalised teaching with accessible resources to create meaningful, long-term progress.

A Structured, Personalised Approach to Learning

Every student follows a clear pathway that combines in-session teaching with ongoing support outside of sessions.

1. Understanding the Learner

We begin by identifying strengths, gaps, and barriers to learning through assessment and discussion.

2. Personalised Learning Plan

A tailored plan is created, combining session-based teaching with structured independent learning.

3. Hybrid Teaching Model

Students receive:

  • 1:1 or small group teaching sessions
  • Access to structured learning resources
  • Opportunities to practise skills between sessions

4. Progress, Confidence & Independence

This approach helps students not only make progress, but also develop independence and confidence in their learning.

Who We Support

Our Learning Academy supports students who benefit from a more flexible and personalised approach to learning, including:

  • Students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia
  • Children working below expected levels
  • Students with gaps in learning due to missed education
  • Learners who struggle with confidence
  • Students who find full-time classroom environments challenging
  • Young people preparing for SATs or GCSEs

Our hybrid model is particularly effective for students who need both structure and flexibility in their learning.

A Flexible Learning Model That Works Beyond the Session

Our hybrid approach ensures that learning does not stop at the end of a session.

1:1 Tuition

Individual sessions provide focused, personalised support tailored to the student’s specific needs and learning style.

Small Group Sessions

Small group learning provides opportunities for collaboration while still maintaining a high level of support and structure.

Structured Online Learning

Students can access resources, tasks, and guided learning materials between sessions to reinforce skills.

Initial Assessment

Every student begins with an assessment to identify strengths, gaps in learning, and any barriers that may be impacting progress.

This allows us to create a clear starting point and ensure that all support is tailored to your child’s specific needs.

Targeted Intervention Programmes

Structured programmes are designed to address specific gaps in learning and accelerate progress.

Real Impact: Supporting Students to Rebuild Confidence

Building Confidence & Re-Engaging with Learning

A 14-year-old student came to us experiencing significant anxiety, which had led to prolonged absence from education. She found it difficult to access learning and had become increasingly disengaged.

Through our hybrid approach, we focused first on building trust and emotional confidence during sessions, while also introducing gentle, structured learning tasks that could be accessed outside of sessions.

This allowed her to re-engage with learning at her own pace, without feeling overwhelmed. As her confidence grew, we gradually increased academic expectations and introduced targeted support in English and Maths.
