2. Scope of This Policy

  • All services delivered by Le Roux SEND Group
  • All interactions with children, young people, and families
  • All communication (online and in person)

3. Definition of Safeguarding

Safeguarding means:

  • Protecting children from abuse and neglect
  • Preventing harm to health or development
  • Ensuring children grow up in safe and effective care
  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes

4. Types of Abuse

We recognise the following categories of abuse:

7. Recognising Concerns

8. Responding to a Disclosure

If a child or individual discloses information:

We will not:

  • Promise confidentiality
  • Investigate the situation ourselves

9. Reporting and Escalation

Where a safeguarding concern is identified:

  • The concern will be assessed
  • If necessary, a referral will be made to:
    • Local Authority Children’s Services
    • Safeguarding teams
    • Emergency services (if immediate risk)

We may share information without consent where there is a risk of harm.

  • No inappropriate contact or communication will occur outside of agreed boundaries

12. Professional Boundaries

We maintain clear professional boundaries to ensure safeguarding:

  • No personal relationships with clients
  • Communication remains professional at all times

  • Work collaboratively with parents and carers
